Previous Sermon series

  • ACTS: THE MOVEMENT

  • christmas in john

The Christmas story is found in the gospel of Matthew and Luke. Mark starts his gospel with John the Baptist and the baptism of Jesus. Whereas John starts his gospel before creation. All that said, this year we are going to look at the Christmas story through the gospel of John.

  • “Power of Community”

Community is both essential and vital to the ministry of Living Hope Church. We were created to dwell in community and therefore we should not do life alone! During this brief two week series we will look at some Biblical examples on just how powerful community actually is, and why we need it.

  • Stand alone sermons

November 13, 2016 | "Can You Hear Me Now?" - Ray Bieber

    November 20, 2016 | The Heart - Bryan Beatty

  • The Essentials

During this series we will break down what we believe are essentials for the church in order to achieve the vision God gave us. These essentials consist of Love, Mission, Community, and Equipping.  In order to live out these essentials we must live out our core values of the gospel, Spirit & Word, and prayer.

  • The one chapter's relationship guide

In this series we will explore the 4 letters in the New Testament that have one chapter. These letters are…Philemon, 2 John, 3 John, and Jude. The overall theme of all these letters is relationships. Mainly, how as Christians should we be acting toward one another. We will look at one letter per Sunday and see where the Lord leads!

  • NO SERIES, MESSAGE SERIES!

In the month of July our messages series will not be a “message series”. While Pastor Eric takes of the month of July off from preaching we will be hearing sermons from our elders and staff of LHC. Each person who is preaching will be sharing what God is putting on their hearts for the church.

  • Not Ashamed

God is looking for a people who are unashamed of Him. A people who are bold to stand in the gap for Him. A people to be used by Him to see Living Hope’s vision complete. Are we willing to do whatever God ask of us with boldness? Are we part of the “unashamed”? During this series we will be looking at three of the seven churches mentioned in Revelation 2 & 3 as examples on how to live an unashamed life!

  • Spirit empowered

Why do we need the God’s help, why do we need power, who is the Holy Spirit, why do we need Him, how does He empower us? These are just some of the questions we will answer in our series “Spirit-Empowered”. We need the power of the Spirit to elevate us into a position to see our vision complete. “If you have the Word without the Spirit, you’ll dry up. If you have the Spirit without the Word, you’ll blow up. If you have both the Word and the Spirit, you’ll grow up.”

  • saturated

The end goal of our vision statement is to see Shelton and the 9 surrounding towns saturated with disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe that the process of discipleship will occur as we “gather, grow, and go”, and the power to achieve it is being gospel-centered and Spirit-empowered.

During “Saturated” we will be tackling the specific strategy to see our vision come to fruition.

Discipleship through community, in everyday life, that results in disciple saturation!

  • Story of the Gospel

In order to create gospel-centered disciples (part of our vision statement) we need to truly understand the gospel and what it means to us. This intensive series will walk us through how the story began in Creation and ends with Jesus second coming

  • NEW SEASON

A new year and a new season for Living Hope Church. During 2016 we will be spending our time diving into the new Mission and Vision that God has given the leadership of LHC. In our first series of this new year and season we are going to focus on the foundational statement that spear-headed our new mission and vision.

That statement is, Gather. Grow. Go.
